About the Dorm

History

Founded in 1992, İnsan Vakfı (Human Foundation) has adopted the hadith, “The best of people are those who benefit others,” as its guiding principle.

Initially, the foundation focused on supporting the education of students in need. Over the years, it expanded its scope to include social aid projects alongside education.

As the oldest institution under the İnsan ve Medeniyet Hareketi (Human and Civilization Movement), İnsan Vakfı operates from the Bahariye Mevlevihane.

In 1999, following the Marmara Earthquake, the foundation established a soup kitchen in Adapazarı, providing uninterrupted meals for 8,000 people daily for 10 months.

The foundation has continuously supported earthquake victims in Adapazarı and organized multiple aid campaigns for affected individuals.

After the Van Earthquake in 2011, it opened a soup kitchen in Van Erciş, distributing meals twice a day to 500 people for 60 days, leaving a lasting impact on those in need.

Following the civil war in Syria, İnsan Vakfı, under the motto “Brotherhood Comes at a Cost,” organized multiple aid campaigns for Syrian war victims, delivering the collected assistance personally into Syria.

Alongside its social responsibility projects, the foundation prioritizes education. This year, it provided monthly scholarships to a total of 1,200 university students, including 200 international students. Across Turkey, İnsan Vakfı operates 40 student dormitories in 18 provinces.

Dedicated to specialization in education, the foundation established the İnsan Vakfı Education Center (İVEM), through which numerous educational projects are conducted. Hundreds of students currently study at İVEM courses, covering topics from Islamic sciences to social sciences, linguistics, and educational sciences to train qualified individuals.

For 25 years, İnsan Vakfı has continued its mission to help those in need. Your financial and moral support can also contribute to this noble journey.
