History
Founded in 1992, İnsan Vakfı (Human Foundation) adopted the hadith, “The best of people are those who are most beneficial to others,” as its guiding principle.
Initially, the foundation focused on supporting the education of students in need. Over the years, it expanded its activities to include social aid projects, with education remaining the primary focus.
As the oldest institution under the Human and Civilization Movement, İnsan Vakfı operates from the Bahariye Mevlevihane.
In response to the 1999 Marmara Earthquake, the foundation established a soup kitchen in Adapazarı, providing continuous meals for 8,000 people daily over 10 months.
The foundation consistently supported earthquake victims in Adapazarı, organizing numerous aid campaigns for those affected.
After the 2011 Van Earthquake, a soup kitchen in Van Erciş provided two meals daily to 500 people for 60 days, leaving a lasting impression on those in need.
Following the civil war in Syria, İnsan Vakfı, under the motto “Brotherhood Has a Price,” organized multiple aid campaigns for Syrian war victims, delivering collected assistance personally into the heart of Syria.
Alongside its social responsibility projects, the foundation sees providing education as a primary duty. This year, it awarded monthly scholarships to 1,200 university students, including 200 international students. Across Turkey, İnsan Vakfı operates 40 student dormitories in 18 provinces.
Specializing in education, the foundation established the İnsan Vakfı Education Center (İVEM), through which numerous educational projects are implemented. Hundreds of students currently receive education at İVEM courses. These programs cover a wide range, from Islamic sciences to social sciences, linguistics, and educational sciences, aiming to train qualified individuals.
For 25 years, İnsan Vakfı has continued its noble mission to assist those in need. You can contribute to this mission through financial or moral support.
