Our dormitory was designed as a student residence in accordance with the Regulation on Private Student Housing Services published by the Ministry of National Education in 2017, and the Directive on the Standards and Working Procedures of Private Student Housing Institutions, and was built in 2018 as a private higher education male student dormitory. Our dormitory is not affiliated with any group or community; it only operates in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of National Education.
Our aim is to contribute to students’ academic success by creating a peaceful, happy, and homelike environment in a quiet, historical, and touristic area by the sea in the Historic Peninsula. In our dormitory’s cafeteria and dining hall with a Golden Horn view, you can have your breakfast and meals. In addition, you can benefit from the nearby breakfast halls, restaurants, and the Haliç Social Facilities right next to us.
In our surroundings and in historic Balat, you can visit historical landmarks preferred by students and tourists, and enjoy authentic cafes. In our dormitory, located in one of Istanbul’s calmest and most peaceful districts without heavy traffic or noisy entertainment venues, you will have the opportunity to study and rest. In your free time, you can visit numerous historical and touristic sites within walking distance, walk or exercise by the seaside and in Haliç Şair Nedim Park, and take coffee and chat breaks with your friends in authentic cafes. Our dormitory is within walking distance of Eminönü, Karaköy, Sirkeci, Sultanahmet, and Balat, where many TV series and movies have been filmed.
From the dormitory cafeteria, you can enjoy tea or coffee while watching the sea, Galata Tower, and the Beyoğlu side. From the nearby Fener Pier, you can travel anywhere by sea; from Eminönü and Karaköy by tram; from Sirkeci by Marmaray; from Haliç Metro station by metro; and from the Ayakapı bus stop next to our dormitory by bus. Additionally, the Eminönü – Eyüp – Alibeyköy line, which will open at the end of 2018, will pass by Abdulezaz Avenue / Kadir Has Avenue right next to our dormitory.
In the 2018–2019 Academic Year, students from 15 universities registered at our dormitory.
